Feeling a bit camera shy

Songwriting. Creativity. Art. Cajones. A monkey in a blender.

Somewhere in the middle of all these things you will find Immigrant Blue. Formed in 1999 by Sean Mansell and Chris Frankhauser, the band has evolved from earlier pop leanings to a desire for artistic satisfaction, resulting in a darker, deeper, and more dynamic sound.

Thanks in no small part to the addition of Stephen Colca on rhythm guitar, providing the rock riffage. Newer additions Neal Conway on bass guitar and Dave Bono on drums bring a fresh groove and dynamic to the rhythm section.

All this combined with the clever guitar work of Chris Frankhauser and the tasteful playing of Sean Mansell on vocals and keys have helped to shape Immigrant Blue into a well-oiled rock machine that wants to do one thing: slap your mama !

Immigrant Blue is more than just the sum of their influences, they’re the result of many years of writing, toiling, brooding, and evolving into their present sound.

The band’s sound evokes elements of Radiohead, Interpol, Soundgarden, and STP. They are currently in the studio, writing and recording material for their new disc, due out sometime in 2006.

Mamas beware !
