Lyrics

Take me to the place

Written By: Ash

Floating downstream and I'm on my way
haven't slept since yesterday
stoned confusion clouds my mind
looking for the next dream to find

But I've gotta find my own way
Take me slowly from this decay
This greasy river it runs to slow
Take me to the place I know
Take me to the place I know

Walk so careful on this thin red line
holding on to everything, everything thats mine
one wrong step and I'll take the fall
suddenly I don't feel so tall

But I've gotta find my own way
Take me slowly from this decay
This greasy river it runs to slow
Take me to the place I know
Take me to the place I know

It was Saturday night when I first saw your face
didn't have nothing to say we just went to your place
wasn't long till you were down on your knees
now I'm stuck in this hell with you fuckin' disease
it was all just a game but your the one that got played
I'll be the biggest mistake that you ever made.

Take me to the place I know.

Long Time Friend

Written By: Ash

And she blames me again
for the things I cannot change
but it's not my fault this time
It's all written on the page

Lifting myself up from the bottle once again
I said do not fault my ways
she's been my long time friend
a part of me all these days
a love letter I will send
so please excuse the phrase
and never fault my ways

You can find yourself in chaos
when the party never ends
it ain't worth being dead and famous
with all your greedy fair weather friends

Lifting myself up from the bottle once again
I said do not fault my ways
she's been my long time friend
a part of me all these days
a love letter I will send
so please excuse the phrase
and never fault my ways

Take the last line

Written By: Ash

You can bring the cigarettes and I will bring the wine
don't worry about your credit card, we'll pay it another time
the highlights you put in your hair do not betray your age
you got your back against the wall
trapped in your own cage

And baby you got me bleeding
got your hooks into me and stealing
all my good times
you always take the last line
Take the last line

Walk into the usual place where the junkies know your name
talk about the good old times but it all sound just the same
they mix your potions at the bar and serve you with a silver spoon
you act just like a queen for awhile but the party ends to soon

And baby you got me bleeding
got your hooks into me and stealing
all my good times
you always take the last line
Take the last line

Leaving myself wide open with my heart right on my sleeve
give me a little room, I need a little space to breathe
break the bonds that bind me and turn off the telephone
give me a little time, I need some fucking space alone
