“In a World torn apart by lies, we’re all immigrants in our own countries.”
Immigration Unit is an eclectic alt - rock fourtet, based in Basel (CH).
The alliance of likeminded musicians from all over the world (Basel/Torino Geneva/Caracas) came together in 2017 and shares a single mission: breaking the invisible boundaries between music genres and cultures.
Dreamy, meditative and controversial, IU songs feature refined rhythmical textures and sounds, from modern digital electronic to guitar-driven-rock riffs, coming back to the classic aura of a Grand Piano, all seamlessly bound by non conformist lyrics.
The result of the concoction is an avant-garde sound, where pop, rock, jazz and electronic music are blended together.
The band just finished the recording for the debut album, planned for
September 2018 and is going to release four singles in the coming months.
