Cottingham, "like XTC made love with the

Ruts" IV is a Swedish based band with

members from Stockholm, London and

Boston and has just finished it's debut

album set to release in 2021.

Recorded in a smokey basement

Stockholm studio, producer/engineer

Jonas Edler captures the Vibe perfectly

and takes the listener on an extremely high

journey through the band's twists and

turns with a sound that truly sets it apart

from other modern indy recordings.

The combined experience of all the

veteran members can easily be recognized

and is reflected in the band's ability to

write catchy songs reminicent of 70s

anthemic hits accented with a modern

edge. Bassist Jimi Pullar's raw Ricky bass

sound along with drummer Steve Kilroy's

pounding grooves on vintage Ludwig

drums leaves lenty of space for guitarist

Marcus Davidsson to do his thing with

tasty licks and precission rhythms.

Singer Jonny Cottingham's deep lyrical

content and seemingly endless melodic

ideas pull the band together making the

album sound like an instant classic.

In the early days all the members enjoyed

success and toured Europe, the US and

beyond and are a big stage seasoned unit.

Jimi toured alongside Nada Surf all over

Europe back in the day and played on

Revolver Record's Gods Little Joke album

'A Moment of Clarity' with Jonny and Steve

and toured the US several times while

Marcus had an equal amount of success

playing and touring with several well

known bands in Sweden like Soulvation.

Bottom line is IV (although a new band)

has had lots of professional experiences

that come through on the recordings.

With the album now completed and the

first video done, plans are now being set

for the release and the band is exploring

the best options in this digital age we now

live in and are eager to get it out there.
