Just when you thought Impromp2 couldn't get any better with the release of their new single "Good Thang", which features the great Ray Parker Jr., they take things to the next level. "It Is What It Is" is the fourth album by Impomp2 (Johnny 'Johnny B' Britt and Sean 'Sean E Mac' Thomas), known worldwide for its distinctive, unique and innovative blend of jazz, soul and rap.

Released on JCS Records, "It Is What It Is" features an all-star cast of special guests and musical friends including such smooth jazz and urban AC favorites as Take 6, Boney James, George Duke, Marcus Miller, Norman Brown, Wayman Tisdale, Paul Jackson Jr. and Harvey Mason.

"It Is What It Is" includes a cover of Marvin Gaye's classic "You Sure Love To Ball" with special guests Marcus Miller (on bass) and Boney James (on sax) and a tribute to MoJazz, the Motown label to which Impromp2 was originally signed in the '90s

Previous albums by Impromp2 have included such cuts as "Summer Nights", "Enjoy Yourself" and "Get Me Off" which generated significant airplay at NAC, smooth jazz, quiet storm and other urban radio formats.

Recent compositions by Britt include the No. 1 "R&R" hit singles " The Total Experience (featuring George Duke) and "Grand Central" as well as "I'll Always Love You" (featuring Shai), written by Impromp2's Britt and Thomas.

Impromp2's live performance credits include appearances at The White House, The Essence Music Festival, Magic Johnson's Mardi Gras and shows in the U.K., The Netherlands, The Bahamas and St. Lucia.
