"The debut record is filled with strong emotions and big dramatic refrains"

The introduction of the song "Somewhere" reminds of "Nada Surfs" old hit "Popular", then "In Bloom" takes of to a little more emo-sound. The debut record is filled with strong emotions and big dramatic refrains. It's quite obvious that "In Bloom" has taken their name from the Nirvana song with the same name, if you like music from the 90's and Seattle then you should definitely keep your eyes open for this. - Swedish musicmagazine Groove

"A very promising debut album"

Pär Eriksson from Ludvika has together with his band ”In Bloom” created a very promising debut album.
It is tremendous rock, pending between dirty garage and elegant acoustic sounds. Some elements of pop can also be traced with a skillful ear for music.
I like most of the stuff on this album: the sound of the drums, Pär Eriksson’s voice, the backup vocals by the tender voice of Emma Svensson, and the guitar pending between hard and soft. Best tracks: “Somewhere” and “Lie”.
- Hanna Borgs, Dalademokraten

"Emotionally composed songs and great lyrics"

On the border of genres that almost feels too loaded, with lots and lots of skillful bands sounding a bit too similar, In Bloom has definitely found their own way. This band mixes grunge and appealing melodic choruses, but the sound itself is what gives the band their identity. The sound of the guitar is lightly distorted acoustic guitars, played by the singer and lyric writer Pär Eriksson, which somehow minimizes the distance between the audience and the band. This feeling is further strengthened by emotionally composed songs and great lyrics.
The band has in July released their debut album ”With Faded Lights”, and I’m proud of being able to below present two songs from the album, ”Somewhere” and ”Succeed”.

""With Faded Lights"- with "In Blooms" own sound"

Since the band is named by a Nirvana song you can figure that this is an important influence, and this is noticeable on the record. That cocky but still a bit nonchalant attitude is absolutely on the record, especially in the way that Pär sings. It's quite grungy but with a lot of finesse. Interesting drums with big variations is positive and makes the record even better. The mix of the male leadsinger and the female backingvocal gives a bigger deep that makes the songs stronger. Many refrains has very popy melodies but stays popy in a tasy way. The opening song "Somewhere" is a good example of a refrain that gets stuck on your mind and is pleasant to sing along to. "Granted Love" feels a bit regular for this band that has their own sound. The record has a good integrity without making the songs boring. Great work! - Fridah Hallgren, Skaraborgslänstidning

Bio

"IN BLOOM is a three-piece band with the ambition to sound like hundreds. With a sound built on heavy riffs and strong harmonies the band has been touring Japan, played in the U.K and been seen on TV and heard on the radio.
IN BLOOM consists of Pär Eriksson (Vocals & Guitar), David Sivelind (Bass) and SImon Hjortek (Drums). The members are all modest and kind but has no other desire than to visit you and destroy a nearby stage."
