Bio

The band started in June 2009, in a cabin in Rhinebeck, NY. It was there, in the basement, that their first recording, the Red Tide EP, was completed. In the fall of that year, the act relocated to Los Angeles, the hometown of three of its members, and Teddy, the only New Yorker, moved out West for the band.

In August 2010, the band released "Adult World," their second EP. In the following months, "Hors D'Oeurves" was featured as NPR's Song of the Day, and the band won Deli Magazine's LA Band of the Month poll for November. The band was also acclaimed as one of TIME Magazine's "10 Bands the Rocked SXSW" for its vibrant appearance at SXSW 2011.

In January 2011, the band put forth "SUNSCREEN." Featuring all new tracks, and accompanying remixes, the disk revealed a new side (or two) of the Incan Abraham prism. Now, the band is proud to present its latest concoction, "Ancient Vacation," a 5-song journey into inner and outer spaces, available for free download on the band's bandcamp page (http://incanabraham.bandcamp.com/).

Since 2009, Incan Abraham have brought their sound to such venues as Spaceland, the Bootleg Theater, the Echo, and the Silverlake Lounge in Los Angeles, and Arleneā€™s Grocery, Canal Room, Lit Lounge, Pianos, and Glasslands Gallery in NYC, as well as CMJ 2010 and 2011, SXSW 2011, Noise Pop 2011 (SF), and Culture Collide 2011 (LA).
