Elena ‘NetLenka’ Belyaeva (vocal, throat singing, zhaleika, dungur, hurdy-gurdy, kalyuka, ocarina) was born in Western Siberia, where she was acquainted with folk music by her granny, who was a healer. She was getting knowledge of different vocal techniques in various corners of Russia. NetLenka is leader of Ethnica Music Project. Ethnica played as support band of Pobert Plant & Strang Sensation, took place in many festivals (Sziget Festival, United Islands Of Prague, Open City and others). NetLenka is organizer of ethno-free-jazz festival Art Depot in Russia. She collaborated with Elliott Sharp, Anthony Coleman, Mazzoll, Vladimir Chekasin and Shoji Hano. In 2006 NetLenka recorded duo with Shoji Hano “Fish In The Sky”. Elena Belyaeva & Shoji Hano introduced their program in six cities of Japan.

Kimie Sakaki is a koto player who currently resides in Hiroshima, Japan. She studied koto for thirty years with Tadao Sawai, who died in 1997. She has developed her own distinctive style and likes to convey the sense of her music with the five words, “Snow”, “Moon”, “Flower”, “Impulse” and “Imagination”. Through collaboration with dance, performance art, film and other media, Sakaki has been seeking to optimize the atmosphere of “Space and Sound” that lies at the heart of the koto as an instrument.

Piotr Rachon (piano, keyboards) was born in 1977 in Katowice, when both of his parents were still students of a music academy. He has spent his childhood living with parents in the music’s academy hostel. As a teenager he used to play with famous Silesian bluesmen such as: Jan Skrzek, Andrzej Urny, Jerzy Kawalec. By the following years he played many concerts with various musicians or solo, playing his own compositions or improvisations. In 2000 he established a trio Efendi Zebu which has been playing for the next three years. The trio was shown in the television playing next to Randy Braker band, Tomasz Stanko quartet, Jean Luck Capozzo. In 2005 he played some concerts with Sainko Namtchylak during her European tour. Since 2003 he is a leader of the Avatar project where he is a composer and a conductor he involves many different musicians into this project.
