Independent December was formed around November 2005 when Corey and I (Brad) met Kasey one day after school. We heard him playing Shut Up by Simple Plan and it was like his first time playing drums. We were amazed. So we got him along for a jam and it went on from there. Our first song was written a couple of weeks later (In december hence the name), We called it December as we were asked to play some Christmas Songs at the upcoming school concert. It was inspired one day when Corey and I were walking in the park at night time and saw some tragic things. Its a meaningful song dispite the fact that it sounds pop punk and upbeat. It actually has alot of meaning behind it.
We came up with the name Independent December beacuse we realised that all three of us were born in December. Also when we were brainstorming names Kasey was wearing an Independent Shirt and the words sounded cool together so.... Along came Independent December.
We are now complete with the edition of our bass player Sam O'Reilly. All we are waiting for now is to get discovered so if you know some contacts, tell them to come online, have a listen to with you and if they let me know, I can send them some more music.
Since 2005 we have done alot of gigs... Can't even remember them all of memory and we have definetly improved heaps since the beginning.
