Think

Written By: Cyndy Viveiros

You’d think I’d figure it out now baby
You’d think I’d figure it out
My heart is driving my head crazy
Over what this love’s about

You can call me stupid – I’m used to that.
You can call me fat – but what’s with that?
So you can’t call me no more –
Cause I’m so gone once I walk out that door.

Each day is a precious jewel – ours to cherish and to share
But you throw them in the gutter – Spit on them, insult them, like you don’t care.

You’d think I’d figure it out now baby
You’d think I’d figure it out
My heart is driving my head crazy
Over what this love’s about

You’re always angry and on the attack
You insult me to my face and stab me in the back
In your anger, you strike me so low
My sorry heart is telling me – it’s time to go.

Each day is a precious jewel – ours to cherish and to share
But you throw them in the gutter – Spit on them, insult them, like you don’t care.

You’d think I’d figure it out now baby
You’d think I’d figure it out
My heart is driving my head crazy
Over what this love’s about

Your driving’s scary ‘cause you’re so uptight
You’re off road; destination’s out of sight
When your life lies all around you
I won’t be there to pick it up – so what you gonna do?

Each day is a precious jewel – ours to cherish and to share
But you throw them in the gutter – Spit on them, insult them, like you don’t care.

You’d think I’d figure it out now baby
You’d think I’d figure it out
My heart is driving my head crazy
Over what this love’s about

Love Is What You Do

Written By: Cyndy Viveiros

You claim that she is deep, I call it complicated.
You like a good challenge, but you seem so frustrated.
You act so rough and nasty, gonna show her who’s the boss.
You don’t look so tough to me, more like a boy who’s lost.

Because love can be a scary thing.
When the thrill is gone, that’s when the work begins.
And you wonder if this love is real.
Love is what you do, not just what you feel.

If she were a slave for you, you wouldn’t appreciate it.
You’d rather chase a challenge, then really have to face it.
You’re a knight in shining armor; she’s a princess under spell.
You might be searching for a heaven, but you stumbled into hell.

Because love can be a scary thing.
When the thrill is gone, that’s when the work begins.
And you wonder if this love is real.
Love is what you do, not just what you feel.

It’s strange how magnetism weakens when she’s ready
The chase is all the fun, so boring when it’s steady.
I guess your shining armor was really just tin foil.
The princess is a peasant when she turns out to be loyal.

Because love can be a scary thing.
When the thrill is gone, that’s when the work begins.
And you wonder if this love is real.
Love is what you do, not just what you feel.

Love is what you do…
Not just what you feel…
Love.

Life Is A Lesson

Written By: Cyndy Viveiros

Life is a lesson in losing all our ground rolling downstream
A blistering and nasty bruising to try to wake up from this dream
Not so sad, no - not all bad, in fact it's rather freeing
All your riches and lovers and photos, vacations and houses won't cure
Tough to be happy when it's all a waste 'cause none of it will endure.
Not so sad, no - not all bad, in fact it's rather freeing
Has a nasty sting 'cause you can't change a thing
May as well enjoy the ride
Rocks they may hit you, there's nothing you can do
but remember who's by your side.

Has a nasty sting 'cause you can't change a thing
May as well enjoy the ride
Rocks they may hit you, there's nothing you can do
but remember who's by your side.
Let go of anger and sorrow, fear and grasping and greed
bask in the sunshine, rejoice in the rain 'cause life's not a prison, we're free.
Not so sad, no - not all bad, in fact it's rather freeing.
Bigger than all of our goals, yeah
Beyond what you hoped for, it seems
That life is a lesson in losing all our ground rolling downstream
Life is a lesson in losing...

Make the Pain Go Away

Written By: Cyndy Viveiros

I see him sitting in that dark corner, hiding deep in his drink.
Lost in the past, lost in the present, I wonder about what he thinks.
A regular fixture who doesn't mix, I've seen him turn them away
He looks so sad sitting there, wish I knew what I could say

Don't let the anger show, chase the memory so
you make the pain go away
Don't let the anger show, chase the memory so
you make the pain go away

I used to see him with her around town, smiling and holding her hand
The two of them sparkled like honey-mooners lost in a private land.
But now his hands and eyes are empty, I don't know why I should care
But I see her in another man's arms and I see him hurting there.

Don't let the anger show, chase the memory so
you make the pain go away
Don't let the anger show, chase the memory so
you make the pain go away

He might veil his eyes, but not his beauty, in the ciggarette smoke that he sighs
He must have given her so much, just a shell of a man meets my eyes
Why is here I'm afraid to come near, yet I want to reach out and heal his pain
But he turns away with nothing to say and I'm feeling foolish again

I start off real slow, restore your faith so, I'll make your pain go away
I start off real slow, restore your faith so, I'll make your pain go away...
Pain go away... Away... Away...

Music on My Mind

Written By: Cyndy Viveiros

I can't write you away 'cause you're music on my mind
haunting me throughout the day, touching a spot no one else can find.
When we said it was goodbye, songs screamed out from the radio
Felt like someone I loved had died; though I couldn't hold on, I couldn't let go.
A wailing guitar in my ear, I thought it would drive me insane
As I strained away yet longed to hear, then played it all over again.
Then played it all over again.

You're still in my head, although you are away
and likewise you're still in my heart.
So what is the purpose of living this way?
Pretending that we are apart. We're apart now.
A wailing guitar in my ear, I thought it would drive me insane
As I strained away yet longed to hear, then played it all over again.
Then played it all over again.

I can't write you away 'cause you're music on my mind
haunting me throughout the day, touching a spot no one else can find.
When we said it was goodbye, songs screamed out from the radio.
Felt like someone I loved had died; though I couldn't hold on, I couldn't let go.
A wailing guitar in my ear, I thought it would drive me insane
As I strained away yet longed to hear, then played it all over again.
Then played it all over again.
