"INDIGO" has been thrilling audiences locally for the past 15 years. A native Washingtonian, "INDIGO" has been described as "easily captivating and able to capture the audience with her extraordinary talent, honest emotions and flawless delivery.
"INDIGO" has been described as a “truly gifted and all around performer”.
A recipient of Delta Sigma Theta’s Young Artist award in 1992 and a Semi-Finalist in Baltimore’s 14th Annual Billie Holiday Vocal Competition in 2003, “INDIGO” presents a sound that is both sultry and versatile. Her mesmerizing style includes a blend of Jazz, Pop, R&B, and Gospel.
"INDIGO's" earliest musical influences include everyone from Ella Fitzgerald to the Temptations.
Performances include tributes to Duke Ellington, Billy Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald, additionally, "INDIGO" has performed at the Corcoran Gallery of Art as a founding member of the Jazz-Gospel Ensemble.
Other performance venues include: The Kennedy Center, The Carter Baron Amphitheater, Twins Jazz Lounge, Bohemian Caverns, Washington D.C.’s famous Blues Alley and most recently, NYC’s Famed Sugar Bar Restaurant.
"INDIGO" has performed as an opening act for the following National Artists: Doug E Fresh, Angela Bofil, Peabo Bryson, Miki Howard, Roy Ayers, Joyce Cooling, Paul Taylor and others.
