Bio

In today's music scene, the range is plenty however, where song craft and musicianship lack, INDIUM delivers. The lucid lyrics and melodic content of Fernando Manitto's words evoke a unique and stimulating perspective that each listener can relate to. Meanwhile, nourishing with sub-tones and supporting the backbone of INDIUM with his own melodic endeavors, Guillermo Vega's commanding bass lines leave little to be desired. At the pinnacle of INDIUM's drive lies the intense, raw and complex energy of Miguel Ortiz, who provides the solid rhythmic foundation which INDIUM thrives upon. Highlighting this wicked enterprise are the offerings of Chris Proano, with his heavy-handed finesse, tonal presence, and uncanny musicality. These elements come together to create a distinctive sound that is sure to become the voice of this generation. This compelling combination is what led INDIUM to a number of accomplishments including the number one spot at a Florida statewide Music Video competition, which rewarded them with a publishing contract with the Universal Music Publishing Group. It has also enabled their participation in major festivals such as, The Buzz (103.1FM) Bake Sale, Sun-Fest, American Cancer Society's Walter-Fest as well as a statewide tour with McBrain Damage featuring Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden. In 2005, INDIUM and producer Rob Roy (Bongiovi Entertainment) united efforts to produce INDIUM's debut full length record "Blue Under the Spectroscope", which will be available in the fall of 2006. Keeping true to form, this project promises to captivate and establish INDIUM as one of today's foreground musical forces. INDIUM's musical style comes from many different inspirational and cultural sources but their live performance is the ultimate clincher. INDIUM's sonic diversity and combination of influences definitively puts them in a category all their own.
