Ine Hoem is nothing if not a natural frontwoman. Evoking the stage presence of fellow Scandinavian Lykke Li, Ine is able to command the stage with mesmerizing charisma and conviction. Luckily however, the Oslo native, a classically trained Jazz musician, was also accompanied by a catalogue of strong folk-pop songs. In a world (not least country) overwhelmed with singer-songwriters, it clearly takes more than fine pop songs to succeed. Ine Hoem is one of few who is actually born and raised on Grunerløkka in Oslo, now Oslo´s most happening district which everyone in Oslo claiming to be a part of. Having a father who is an author, it was natural for Ine to dive into a world of culture, taking her education in jazz in the university in Trondheim and starting up the awardwinning and Norwegian Grammy-nominated band Pelbo.
After two critically acclaimed albums with Pelbo and touring all across Europe, Ine started to seeking more into the world of alternative pop as Feist and Lykke Li, and started her solo project.
Her debut single "Get It Off" was released thru the Norwegian single club "Dimond Club" in January 2013 and was immediately listed on Norwegian radio P3. Her follow up single When We Collide, was also listed on Norwegian Radio P3.
Her new single 'This Year' (released on Propeller Recordings Nov.3rd 2014) has gotten massive attention after being a part of Plan Norges campaign against child marriage. The campaign video is now viewed over 2 million times on YouTube.
Ine is working with Polar Artist, the same management working worldwide with successful Norwegian acts as Team Me and Einar Stray. Her debut album is to be released on Propeller Recordings, February 6th. Propeller is also working with Norwegian acts like Highasakite, Moddi and Team Me.
Ine Hoem has also recived great critics for her first soloshows, including the attention of The 405 and several people in the international music industry, and her EP The Island got national attention and booking to By:Larm, Club:Øya and several festivals.
