In Elevators

The band began officially in February of 2009 when long-time friends Paul Atoms (Guitar, Backing Singer), Matt T. Kramp (Lead Singer), Drew Wells (Drums), Kendall Holder (Keys, Backing Singer), and Billy Hawk (Guitar, Backing Singer) moved into a house together, and started spending most of their time writing songs. Soon after, they started playing shows around the Gulfport/Biloxi area in September of 2009, recorded their first "real" demos with Vito from A Hill of Beans recording them in early 2010, moved to New Orleans in May of 2010, started playing shows in the NOLA area in November of 2010, recorded the EP at J Yuenger's studio with Drew Vondarhaar taking care of engineer/mixing duties, played with some great bands during the winter of 2010/2011 (Daikaiju, Ty Segall, Dead People, Felix, the Dives, Modern Convenience),

Their influences range from early rock n’ roll to punk; from garage to psychedelic; from rockabilly to noise and spacey sounds. However, In Elevators do not attempt to sound like any certain genre at any certain point..
