che' bernhardt learned to play the guitar while serving time in prison on drug charges.the guitar he learned on was a 3/4 size child's acoustic because that was all that was available.he spent many hours learning theory from books and studying different styles of music. though he dreamed big ultimately his addiction to chemicals kept any of them from becoming reality. he was blessed with the chance to attend a long term treatment center and after cleaning up he joined a band. it didnt work out because the other mebers had a tendency to disregard his ideas as " too hard " so he quite and decided to put together his dream band of infinate sorrow. by some chance there was a talent show the week after and he decided to use a drum machine for the first time. it was also the first time he had the chance to fully explore his ideas musically. influenced by such bands as big black pussy galore and eistruzende neubauten and also with a taste for new age styles he set about recording an album to kill the boredom and offset the loneliness he felt having left the only thing he knew in life behind. it was instantly apperent that in fact the years of study had payed off and in short order he had finished his first album " nothing of value comes without cost, my friend " refering to his prison time in which he learned to play and the divorce he went through in which his wife sited music as a primary reason and started on his second one " finance before romance " which is still in the works delayed due to a wrist injury and bout of tendonitus it is once again on track. at the time he started recording he also set about making another dream a reality and applied and was accepted at the musician's institute which he starts in the fall of 2007. still on the path of self discovery and just scratching the surface of his potential as a person and as a musician this artist will make his impression on the music scene simply because the music is so different yet still has catchy riffs to it
