"Tools & Machinery CD Review"

"an up and coming producer/rapper from kansas city. He claims his sound is a product of what he has seen and lived...."

".....the 17-track lp continuously evolves. The explosion of the track "self-discipline", which has a heavy bassline and gritty lyrics, is sure to make you nod your head. The flow and energy of the album is consistent and stern."

"Live Show Review (Halloween 2007)"

"It was halloween night. My buddy and I were at this bar in downtown Kansas City called The Peanut. We had heard about a live hip-hop show there with 2 local rappers infO and Negro Scoe.
There were these two house djs "Barbaric Merits", and they were dressed in full body armor, like ancient warriors. They started cutting up this one really sick beat, then this white dude in a suit picked up the mic.
One of the first lines he said had me cracking up. It was something like: "I never tried out for any white rapper show, so shutup you got a cameltoe". His set never stopped or paused. I was really digging how all the songs and beats just kept blending into each other. Lyrically, the flows were crazy.
My favorite part of the show had to be when Info performed this song called "A". He had the whole crowd screaming "A!!!" to the rhythm of the beat, and he was rapping all around the letter. He just kept going and going, for atleast 4 minutes. He also had a really cool version of the song "A Man of Constant Sorrow" from the "O, Brother Where Art Thou?" soundtrack.
I talked to Info (Justin Gillespie) and Negro Scoe (Roscoe Johnson)after the show, and they seemed calmly confident about their music and what they do. "We know what we bring to the table. There's a ton of talent to be spotted out there, even just here in KC. We know we can bang with the best of them though. We have our own sound, and we think people can relate to what we say. That's why we do this," said Info. Scoe added: "Sometimes people in the industry may look past you, but you can't take it too personally. We just keep making music and doing shows because we love to. The rest is really irrelevant."

Bio

I live in kansas city. I grew up here with a single mom. Growing up, she sang jazz in downtown night clubs for a living. I basically grew up around music and its just always been a huge part of who i am. I started playing guitar seriously at about 12. I taught myself to play drums, bass and piano after that. I played guitar/sang in bands from age 15 to 18. Then, I started becoming interested in hip-hop and independent digital production when i was like 20. I fell in love with being able to produce solo. Being able to be in total control of my music and sound was huge for me. I havent looked back since. Im 28 now, and ive been making music, doing shows and paying dues since 2002. As far as my material, im hugely influenced by alot of music. My music is lyrically hip-hop. Musically, to me it is a "gumbo" of everything that has influenced me. I listen to and draw inspiration from all kinds of music. jazz, soul, blues, rock, r&b, hip-hop. My style is just my style. I am who i am. I dont try to sound like anything in particular. My music just comes out how it does.
