Bio

"ininefive" is an Up & Coming band from Connecticut with a Genre of Alternative and Modern Rock. The project initially began with one member, a passion for music, and a dream. With no other members, no name, and no direction, Joey Barrios, with exceptional vocals and basic self-taught guitar skills, wrote and composed music from his own cold basement in Waterford, Connecticut. Through many trials and errors, other musicians would come and go and the project eventually flopped. Joey's determination and passion, however, remained alive. Younger brother Brandon Barrios agreed to work with Joey and bring the project to life. Also with talented vocals and very skillful rhythm guitar playing, Brandon shared his work with Joey and together they collaborated on the project. With a vision in mind, Joey and Brandon knew that if they had any chance to make it in the industry, they needed someone smart, motivated, and trustworthy, to manage them. They older brother Jay Barrios to come aboard and provide them with some structure and direction. Jay agreed, and a new project was born. Jay brought in talented cousin, Mike Baldoz, to play the drums and to participate in songwriting and composition. At this point, the project needed an identity. The members came up with a name, and some goals with an action plan was implemented. "ininefive" was formed, but was still not complete. Jay began auditioning several musicians for the Lead Guitarist role and recruited M.E.C.J. With his awesome riffs and licks, M.E.C.J. brought his experience and talent to the project and helped defined the music. M.E.C.J. was very excited to be a part of the project for several reasons. He loved the music and the meaning behind each and everyone of their songs. The band name "ininefive" also hit home with him as well as the other members. Interstate 95 is the major highway leading out of Connecticut and the members chose "ininefive" as a symbol of their road leading to success and their only way out. With several songs already constructed in the recording studio and many others on the way, "ininefive" was determined to keep the project alive. "ininefive" scoured the area in search of a Bassist and found Chris Peters. Chris brought talent that well-rounded out the project and helped prepare the band for takeoff. Suddenly, without warning, Lead Vocalist, Joey Barrios, had to withdraw from the project because of personal issues. This took a toll on the band and brought some emptiness to the members. It also fueled their motivation and passion to keep the project alive and deliver their art and creation to the world as it was intended. With their melodic tones and vibrant sounds, "ininefive" continues to appeal to passionate music-goers of all ages and genders. With a Genre of Alternative and Modern Rock, this band has achieved the unbelievable task of reaching out to target groups of all walks of life.
