Bio

I n k b l o t is a Kelowna based original/cover rock band that has been together for 3 years. Inkblot’s core members are Conroy Ross age 16, James Ross age 17, Nils Mikkelsen age 16 and Cole Carter age 16. Song-writing team and brothers Conroy and James Ross have been the core of Inkblot since the beginning. They have cycled through a number of bassists and guitarists before finally being joined by Nils Mikkelsen and Cole Carter; filling the gaps in what is now Inkblot.
What does Inkblot mean to you? A thousand people can look at a single Inkblot and have a thousand different perspectives of what they see. Inkblot plays such a variety of music, there’s something for everybody. The name goes well with the way they jump from genre to genre. One song can be jazz, the next hard rock, quiet down with an acoustic piece, then get down and boogie with a little blues.
Inkblot’s originals range from the acoustic’s of Weak Legs and I’ve Tried so Hard to the heavy rock sounds of The Ledge and It Had Its Moments. Front man Conroy Ross has recorded all the Inkblot demos to date. Look for a full length album from Inkblot as they get ready to go into the studio this summer.
As for covers, Inkblot plays anything from the 60's until now, including classic rock, blues, and soft rock. They are influenced by artist’s such as Led Zeppelin, Nickelback, Hendrix and the Black Crowes.
Inkblot plays regularly at The Grateful Fed and Rose’s Pub. They’ve also played at: The Blue Gator, Whiskey Jacks Pub, Angie’s Pub, Back Country Jacks, Woodstock Revival, the OK Corral, the Community Theater, for Kelowna Regatta, Kelowna Dragon Boat Festival, Rotary Arts Center, and Dakota’s Sports Bar among other venues.
