Bio

"Taking inspiration from back alleys and anxious bedroom blues, Ink Road is a diverse blend of screw-pop fusion that jumps off the page. There is a sensual groove bubbling beneath the surface of their immersive sound. Their roots planted firmly in all aeons of rock and roll, Ink Road carries a heavy edge, pushes boundaries, and paints a picture of meaningless romance juxtaposed against the ecstasy of falling in love, again and again. With their high-tailin' funk approach, fierce drum and bass, rugged guitar licks, and swoon inducing vocals, there is a slice here for every swinger in the house. Dig. Ink Road stands and delivers a consummate experience."

- Justin Folk, Free Agent Magazine

Our influences include: Elvis, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Frank Zappa, Johnny Cash, Rob Orbison, The Pixies, The Killers, The White Stripes, Metric, Deathcab for Cutie, Arcade Fire, the Black Keys and Tokyo Police Club.

The diversity of our sound sets us apart from other bands, our setlist transitions seamlessly from dance-pop to heavy reggae to country-rock. It is a sound the all can appreciate, possessing both timeless qualities as well as a new and different sound.

Our band started when a couple of tree-planters got together in a basement and set out to have a blast playing their instruments. More than a few friends have played with us and been a part of Ink Road, we genuinely appreciate the collaborative process and it's ultimate creative ends.
