V1
I awake to find there’s something missing
I awake to find it’s you and I
And I hush my thoughts as I see you stirring
I won’t start your day with my troubled mind

The kitchen’s dark and kind of eerie
If I flipped the lights I’d spoil the mood
So I blindly search for something to fill me
But this hollow ache can’t be cured with food

Chorus
Unspoken Words
Unspoken Hurt
A silent heart can hear it’s own pulse fading
Oh it’s getting worse

V2
I punch the clock still a little hazy
Trying to avoid what I’m trying to define
Well I’m no stranger to conflicted feelings
And I start to miss being by your side

Chorus

Bridge
My phone is lifeless in this crowded bar room
I'm the evening's sad cliche
Don't have to wonder what your silence offers
Your absence has enough to say

Verse 3
I wallow to bed where you’ve been lying
And pull the blankets back on our lives
Well I see your dreams filled your face with sadness
So I hush my thoughts till the morning light

V1
Every part of me
Gave up on gravity
Just to be with you
In a star-filled sea

Pre
If someone took our picture
The capture won’t explain
A thousand words are useless
‘Cuz we can’t be contained in a

Chorus
Still Frame

V2
In a noisy world
Where no one’s listening
The only sound you hear
Is my soul whispering

You give me chills
You make me shake
We’re on the moon
When face to face

Pre
If someone took our picture
The capture won’t explain
A thousand words are useless
‘Cuz we can’t be contained in a

Chorus
Still Frame

V3
Every part of me
Feels electricity
You’re the lightning storm
Deep inside of me

Chorus
All I Want
Is just a little more speed
Cuz fast ain’t good enough
To get me where I need

V1.
The glass rolled down, a warm autumn breeze
Your final words still echoing

Your cruel tongue in disbelief
Had never thought I’d really leave

Chorus
All I Want
Is just a little more speed
Cuz fast ain’t good enough
To get me where I need

V2.
These old leather seats
Sharp springs and tears
Are more comfortable than all those years

Doing time with you was my mistake
I’m an innocent man in a prison break

About To Lose

About To Lose

V1
See the colors of my favorite canvas
Crafted with your younger hands
Barely wrapped in our old, tattered blanket
Next to a note upon the stand

I’d guess you left it as a consolation but I
Caught you before you fled the scene
Your arms are stacked with clothes and falling hangers
Overloading your back seat

Chorus
I’m about to lose
I’m about to lose you

V2
The wooden floors beneath your desperate footsteps
Are shouting at these empty walls
Between their echoes and the scattered boxes
I’m standing helpless in the hall

Chorus
I’m about to lose
I’m about to lose you

Bridge
It’s so chilling what my heart can hear
When your lips don’t make a sound
You search our house for what you’re missing now
Blame is all you found

V3
A heavy bag is pulling at your shoulder
Keys are clenched within your hand
You stretch your arm as if your reaching for me but
You take the painting from the stand

I'm Glad That You Can't See Me Now

VERSE
Felt your fingers slip out of mine
Felt the sting of your well rehearsed lines
Disbelief by the dashboard lights
Brutal words were spoken

Could barely move I didn’t close the door tight
You turned the key threw your life into drive
Your fading taillights still burned in my mind
You left everything broken

CHORUS
I’m glad that you can’t see me now
I’m nothing like the new life you found
I’m glad that you can’t see me now
Cuz’ you wouldn’t regret that you left me

VERSE
My bed’s an endless ocean of sheets
Your silence tucked in the space where you used to sleep
Your absence wraps a cold arm around me
So I won’t be so lonely

CHORUS
I’m glad that you can’t see me now
I’m nothing like the new life you found
I’m glad that you can’t see me now
Cuz’ you wouldn’t regret that you left me

BRIDGE
The empty rooms behind my front door
Crave the sound of
Your restless bags hitting the floor
The only noise that they ever hear
Is the splatter and echo of abandoned tears

CHORUS
I’m glad that you can’t see me now
I’m nothing like the new life you found
I’m glad that you can’t see me now
Cuz’ you wouldn’t regret that you left me

V1
If my heart could be
Dipped in an inkwell
And brushed across
A thousand blank pages

My soul would create
The saddest book ever written
Based on the absence of you

V2
If my heart could find
A clue in the chapters
A point before we let it all go

Before you found someone else
You got a little too close with
I’d rip out that page of my soul

Bridge
Change the past
I’d change the past
Make history a blur
Promises were just lies you said
Echoes of your vows still hurt
The echoes of your vows still hurt

We’ll never get it back

V3
Last night, I sat
Warmed by the fire
Flipping through pages of the heart in my lap
Years of ache started to drip on its wisdom
Smearing the words of the past

Crimson Cage

V1
There’s a prison guarding all your words
Old conversations locked in a chamber of hurt
Hear them scream through these bloody halls
Never to scale these beating walls

There’s daily torture, laborious abuse
Unfair mistreatment, but I’m the only one bruised
All your echoes are like ghosts in flight
I’m the warden losing sleep at night

Chorus
You’re still on my mind
You’re still trapped inside
Still trying to escape my crimson cage

I’m still full of ache
I’m still full of pain
Still trying to escape my crimson cage

V2
There’s a skeleton hiding in dirty laundry
Slipped out the back door in an attempt to be free
I wrapped your kisses in in-mates clothes
Confined them to a room where no one else goes

Chorus
You’re still on my mind
You’re still trapped inside
Still trying to escape my crimson cage

I’m still full of ache
I’m still full of pain
Still trying to escape my crimson cage

V3
There’s a promise serving life in a cell
& It cuts into these walls like a chisel from hell
Now who’s the captor when dealing with ghosts
Make off with your heart
Yet they’re still trapped in your soul

Soul Like A Feather

V1
Yearning, Searching,
I wore a youthful skin of wanderlust
Wide Eyed, and thirsty
If motion ceased I thought my wings would rust

I craved the unknown,
I craved the back roads
The beast of wonder was constantly hungry

I craved absorbing
I craved soaring
I craved the feeling of the wind underneath me

Chorus
Soul Like a Feather
Soul Like a Feather

V2
Seasons were Changing
And I found chains wrapped around heaven’s gate
My spirit, deflating
New to the sense of how failure tastes

Ground was approaching
Engines were smoking
All I could feel was my heart in my throat

Victim of dreaming
Innocence screaming
Tossed in a flurry with no sense of control

Chorus
Soul Like a Feather
Soul Like a Feather

V3
Corners are rounded
My life’s been shaped by the whims of a breeze
But rarely am I grounded
I’m not afraid to unfurl broken wings

I’ve been chiseled
I’ve been weathered
I’ve been sculpted by careless hands of time,

I’ve been cut up
But I’ll never give up
You won’t get hurt when you look deep in my eyes

Chorus
Soul Like a Feather
Soul Like a Feather

Taped Up Letter

V1
I’m near the bottom
As autumn turns her head
I’m barely crawling
Through the silence she left
My aspirations had me so mislead

Chorus
If I were you I wouldn’t want to know myself
If I were you I wouldn’t let this go

V2
The Taped up letter
Once had it’s way with me
The scribbled anger screams like an enemy
It’s not that easy to swallow the words that I read

Chorus
If I were you I wouldn’t want to know myself
If I were you I wouldn’t let this go
I’m holding on to a changing season
If I were you I wouldn’t let me go

Bridge
Why would you walk away

V3
If you’re still lonely when your light finally shines
And you turn around to where your shadow hides
The past your missing won’t be there for you to find

Chorus
If I were you I wouldn’t want to know myself
If I were you I wouldn’t let this go
I’m holding on to a changing season
If I were you I wouldn’t let me go

When I'm Chasing My Heart

V1
Frozen clock, see the hands of time in protest
As if their fruitless arms are folded
Refusing to move on

I awake, shaken by this moment
To see my dreams have lost their focus
How many breaths until their gone

Chorus
The only time I really feel alive
The only time I’m really satisfied
When I chase
When I chase
When I’m chasing my heart

The only time that I lose my breath
The only time that I escape regret
When I chase
When I chase
When I’m chasing my heart

V2
Need a change, before desire calls in absent
Before ambition’s in a casket
Before my hope’s without a pulse

Life’s a beast, if it’s hungry you should feed it
The only way that you can cheat it
Is to do nothing at all

Chorus

Bridge

V3
I was lost, and the hours had no purpose
But just below the surface
I heard the whisper of my soul
