"Inner Wave – Sun Transmission [Brightside Premiere]"

After sitting down to pick the brains of Inner Wave a few months back, these guys instantly made a lasting impression on me. It goes without saying, that this interesting group of best friends are in this for the right reason: the music!

We’ve been waiting on the edges of our seats for this one. Los Angeles collective, Inner Wave, released their second full album and it’s clear that this young group of musicians have progressed at light speed. Prepare yourself for the space puns, because Sun Transmission takes us through a cosmic journey over the course of 12 psychedelic tracks. The intro immediately lays the groundwork for the eerie theme of what’s to ensue. Once we’re greeted with the funky bass line and upbeat tempo, the rest is history. I can’t help but to be reminded of Tame Impala throughout Sun Transmission due to the balance between contemporary and psychedelic rock. I feel like a proud dad when I say I’m proud of these guys for this one. Inner Wave is the real deal and I look forward to watching this tight-knit group grow as musicians that have stayed true to their art. I could go on for days, but rather I’d let YOU discover them for yourself. Sun Transmission can be found on the band’s SoundCloud, Spotify page, and even iTunes. - Joe Hollerup

"SUBMISSION SATURDAY"

Inner Wave – “Solar”

Dreamy, dancable pop from Los Angeles, CA.

For fans of: Washed Out, Miniature Tigers, Generationals, Reptar, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.

Listen to this when you’re: looking for music to chill out to but could also groove to if you felt like it later, in need of something that’s one part good beats/bassline mixed with two parts psychedelic tropical tune-age, at a groovy beach party.

Received this submission from dittosaur and I’ve already played this song more times than I was expecting to. Very good stuff especially if you like to move when you listen to music! Check this song out if you’re not ready to say goodbye to summer. - LOUDHAZE MUSIC

"Inner Wave Win The Deli's Best of the Year 2013"

Congratulations to Inner Wave for winning the Reader's Poll portion of our LA 2013 Best Emerging Band Poll. The fans have spoken, and Inner Wave has risen to the top. Delicately walking the line between experimental psychedelia and indie pop, Inner Wave encompasses that youthful free-spirited ocean-splashing west coast sound. The all male quintet fill their songs with layers of guitars and quirky synth melodies, all while lead singer, Pablo Sotelo croons with raw passion like his voice is being beamed in from a bygone era. Their debut EP, III, is an impressive offering filled with pop gems and mature musical ideas. I'd give their potential for blowing up in 2014 a "Local Natives," you know, on a scale from "Your Dorm-Mate's Ableton Side Project" to "Lorde." - The Deli

"NO PANTS SHOW AT SPACE FORTY TWO IN LOS ANGELES"

Then, came INNERWAVE. They took a while to set up as usual since they got lots of instruments to connect, etc. yet, it's always worthwhile. With their mixture of ambient interstellar indie sounds, it's always a pleasure to hear these guys perform. They got this unique sound that fulls the room whereever they perform, you keep wanting more, and so they did please the crowd by singing one last tune, and old catchy pop song of their own that had the crowd singing and dancing along, and when we least expected, the keyboardist started a moshpit towards the end of the song which had me looking out for my camera since I got caught up in the middle of it, drinks flying, etc..haha..bastards..jk..pretty cool epic ending haha..After that performance..I was out of memory space in my camera, so I called it a night..got back in the jeep and drove back home..ready to see what kind of photos I had acquire and what can be shared..so here I am 2 days after writing this looong blog and wasting my precious time, instead of doing work lol..anyways hope you enjoy the blog and until next time. I am not gonna proofread this..so if there is anything wrong..feel free to critized down there..haters hahaha. peace out! - Cesar Garcia
