Innocent Uprising is an epic, audio adventure that styles themselves as Rock/Reggae. Comprised of only five members, the band was founded in late 2007 by Sean Nicholas (vox) and Travis McVey (lead guitar). Shortly after, Kyle Nicholas (rhythm, vox) networked the rest of the rhythm section; Bobby Terrien (bass) and Jay “Zig Zag” Mottle (drums). Since then, Innocent Uprising has had a great reception whether from outdoor festivals such as WBRU college day or Bonestock, to larger venues like Jerky’s, Paradise Rock Club, Club Hell, House of Blue's, or Lupo’s. As a whole they have shared the stage with some great national acts such as The Rustic Overtones, The Wailers, State Radio, Braddigan, Toots and the Maytals, and Steel Pulse to name a few. After releasing two Cd’s “Hit the Ground Running” and “Full Circle” , they are now working on their next single, (produced and engineered by Jack Gauthier,) to be released in summer ’09. You can expect a lot from these guys in the summer of ’09 and throughout the Fall season so look out for Innocent Uprising at a venue near you.
