Still working on that hot first release.

Isaac Alexander Kestral, aka InProgression, is a musician who believes in the power of evolution.
A belief evident in more than just his pseudonym, his music is progressive in nature, joining
the ranks of other future bass artists. Future bass, a genre that’s been on the rise globally
over the last ten years, evolved from the roots of synthesized house music.
InProgression describes his sound as a unique blend of ambient composer, Tom Day, and future
bass/pop duo, Louis the Child. Like many others in his genre, InProgression’s talent extends
across a number of instruments, including the piano and drums. In addition, he writes
and produces his own music, occasionally lending vocals to his tracks.
Originally from Rotterdam, Netherlands, he now calls the United States home. Growing up, he
crafted his talents from studying the music of Dillon Francis, K.Flay, Marshmello, Louis the
Child, San Holo, and Kaskade.
“I grew up listening to House, trance, and the harder styles of dance music. I started playing
drums and writing songs at twelve years old. At fourteen, I discovered audio engineering and
music production. At fifteen, I realized that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life,
with the goal of trying to help other people the way this music has helped me.”
Eventually, he hopes to create a more permanent residence in Toronto, Ontario, where he
plans to create his own label and open a live music venue, providing a platform for others to
share their art. As in his music, it’s all about forward movement; part of that movement involves
lifting up other artists while on his journey and paying it forward.
InProgression recently released his single, Let Me Go, which is now available to stream on Jango
Radio. In the more immediate future, he is gearing up to release additional songs this
Spring, as he prepares to finish his first EP.
More than a musician, InProgression is an artist in the truest sense of the word. The songs for
his EP are all inspired by a sci-fi novel he has been writing in honor of his best friend who unfortunately
left this Earth too soon a few years back. “We both always felt we were born a few
centuries too soon so I do my best to keep with a futuristic theme in all that I do.”
In the interim, he has been collaborating with others who challenge him, all while complimenting
his unique sound, including classically-trained musician, Jade Wan, and pop artist, Brittany
McQuinn, to name a few. In keeping with his message, he explains, “I am a constant work in
progress… even if the progress is slow and little [at times].”
