"As in the case of B*tchfork, it is quite short because it only lasts 8 minutes. So there's an estimate. It starts with Horror/Gore sampling and then its just ruthless, heavy Death Metal. The influence of Mortician is clear, combined with a more contemporary sound of heavy American Death Metal. If you like American Extreme, you can take it blind. Its f*cking hard on vocals, guitars, and drums. Definitely worth the listen after my culminated start of watching the band and I anticipate a crushing full-length." - BDB+ - 5+/6 - In the Pit Metal Music Zine

Insectriarchy is a gore-soaked, brutal death bulldozer with violent slams and intense tremolo-picked riffs. The band was thought into existence in late 2016 by Alex Barton (Drums) and Conner Brickner (Vocals). Their musical intentions were to compose their own breed of Slamming Brutal Death Metal. In May of 2017, Cody Ferguson joined the band on guitar. His style of guitar-playing brought an element of raw Thrash Metal into the bands sound that set them apart from the slew of slam bands across the world.

The band released their first demo on October 10, 2017 which featured three tracks of Insectriarchy’s unique, hybrid sound of Thrash Metal and Brutal Death Metal. The band performed their first show on October 25, 2017. A couple months later in December, Cole Blowers joined Insectriarchy on bass guitar, officially making the band a 4-piece act.

The band continued to play shows, write songs, and develop their craft. Insectriarchy released a single track on June 16, 2018 titled “Jorogumo”. Simultaneously, the band enlisted Scott Chappell as their second guitarist. The addition of Chappell opened new opportunities for the bands sound, which influenced Insectriarchy’s “Jorogumo” with dark, overlaying riffs and vocals.

Insectriarchy kept grinding; writing new music and playing shows. Conner Brickner (Vocals) left the band in August 2018. The band was unsure of their future at this time but stayed persistent and driven. Shortly after, Eli Vincent filled in for the band as vocalist for a few shows from September 2018 - January 2019.

Insectriarchy was ready to move onto their next chapter. The band had great things in motion for their next project, but they still needed to find their permanent front man. The band asked Chris Whittinghill to fill in for them for a show in March 2019. Chris is a good friend of the band and previously played shows with Insectriarchy in another group called Dear Madness. Chris received great responses as their front man and he always loved the brutality of Insectriarchy, so he joined the band officially in April 2019. Since then, the band has been writing their new record with the new and evolved line-up.

Insectriarchy’s new record will release in Spring 2020 - Announcements coming in December 2019.
