INSTANT CAMERA IS A WALL OF SOUND ROCK BAND THAT COMBINES PUNK ELEMENTS WITH AN ATMOSPHERIC PITCH. THE SINGER-SONGWRITER ASPECT OF THE BAND IS WHAT DIFFERS THEM FROM OTHER NOISE ROCK ACTS.

Biography

Instant Camera combines elements of post-rock and punk to form an entirely diverse sound based on American underground style songwriting, added with stark melodicism and sonic texture.

They are different from other indie bands such that the keyboard and vocal melodies play significant roles in which the songwriting is derived. However, the rest of the band adds to the chaos with a pounding rhythm section and a wall of dissonant guitar sound.

The band hails from Louisville, KY and has existed well over two years. In the process they have turned heads in their hometown, due to the sense of originality in the songs themselves. The band strives on the beauty of the three minute pop song, but in addition adds many kinds of unexpected moments of sheer intensity and powerful instrumentation.

Because the band is influenced by almost all kinds of rock music, it is completely unexpected of what each song will sound like.

In the last two years, Instant Camera has released an out-of-print single and plans on dropping its debut 'Alive on Departure' at the end of summer 2004 on their own label, Wall to Wall records.
