Insulated

It all began with a boy playing drums in an “INSULATED” storage room in his parent’s garage to four high school friends playing weekend shows. The band INSULATED is comprised of four Kentucky boys; Coty Burton, Drew Aud, D.J. Brown and Brandon Crawford. INSULATED has been playing gigs in the Kentucky/Indiana area since 2007. With music influences from Eric Clapton, ZZ Top to Jason Aldean. They can rock over 100 cover songs and a few of their own.

These young men continue to give to their community by playing a variety of charity events and fundraisers for local families throughout Owensboro and the surrounding counties. Their charitable work to the American Cancer Society hit close to home when a lifelong friend of the 4 band members and families died of cancer at the young age of 16.

They have played several different venues; from restaurants, private parties, wedding receptions and company picnics. They were in the Big O finale for 2 years (2010 & 2011), and performed on a side stage for both the Legendary Music Festival and the Big O Music Festival (2011) between main “artists.” They have won several Battle of the Bands, in and out of town. They won a Battle of Bands sponsored by Relay for Life in 2006, Grayson County Battle of Bands in 2009 and most recently won the 97X radio Battle of Bands in July, 2011. They are beginning to branch out by writing their own music and recently recorded 2 of their own songs, “She Likes to Party,” lyrics by Drew Aud, music by Insulated and “I’m Leavin’ Town,” lyrics by Drew Aud and Nick Cheek.

Their dream is to move to Nashville to pursure a music career.
