-recording another ep in April 2005 with new tracks
-the track "judge mental" recieved play on local college radio.

Insurgency is a four-piece punk rock band from Charlottesville, VA that was formed two years ago. Even though three of the four have been playing in a band together for about five years, the official Insurgency was formed after they acquired a bassist and changed their former name (weapon of choice). The band was created for the purpose of releasing personal anguish on social, political, and personal levels. On further note, the four punks feel there is far too much division between different genres of Punk rock and did not see anything changing in the foreseeable future, so they decided to take it upon themselves to create a diverse band that is influenced by such acts as The Dead Kennedy's, Bad Religion, and Face to Face. Additionally, coming from a punk's perspecitve, Charlottesville is practically devoid of any diverse tastes in the Punk rock genre. Up the punx!
