iNTeLL Aka Dontae Hawkins Was Born & Raised in Staten Island, NY. Being The Son of U-God From The Legendary Wu-Tang Clan, This Dude didn’t get into music right away. It wasn’t until the summer of 05 that his best friend and fellow group member DruGunn$ Aka Andrew Cole approached him about doing music and taking it from random freestyles with friends to late night studio sessions in Brooklyn.
On March 13Th 1994 while being escorted to a friend's birthday party Dontae fell victim to a stray bullet from a crossfire shootout. The bullet tore through His hand, kidney and lower back tapping spinal fluid. He was 3 years old at the time and had to have his kidney removed and due to the spinal damage was paralyzed from the waist down, doctors said he would never walk again. However through god and determination he learned how to walk again.
Upon practicing and perfecting his craft iNTeLL released several Mixtapes since 06. Some have described him as a young NaS others have said that he is complete trash; I suggest you listen and judge for yourself. He is able to write to any beat about anything, but he prefers to write about more meaningful subjects and he is also perfecting his Lyrical Storytelling abilities. Even though iNTeLL was never approached by his father [U-God] or any other members of The Wu to do a song like Sun-God Or Justice he didn’t let that discourage him. He decided to do music for the love of Hip Hop and not necessarily to get a record deal. He plans on releasing a group Mixtape with his group SHaOLiN’s FiNeST, Which Consists of Him, DruGunn$ CHieFF and TakeOver.
The people that inspired him to pick up the pen, DruGunn$, Eminem, Nas, BiGGiE, Jay-z, Common, Lupe Fiasco, And Of course Wu-Tang. The First Album he listened to was Enter The 36 Chamber’s, Shockingly it wasn’t given to him by his Father, But By a Friend. iNTeLL would probably accept a record deal if it was offered to him but that’s not his primary plan. So be On The Look Out for this up & coming hip hop artist making good music that more people should Listen to.
