Austin, TX – Intense Entertainment was established in 2007 by Mark “Boss” Martinez and Raul “Chino” Gullem. The record label has already reached heights not known to many local labels. As a record label, Intense Entertainment’s mission is to create fresh, new music designed to change Texas hip-hop with a diverse sound. Offering opportunities for young talent to excel in their creative outlets is a major issue for Intense Entertainment as a record company as well. With in-house producer Chino Cochino of The Savants Production Group at the helm, the music really speaks for itself. Now with the distribution established between Intense Entertainment and Platinum Bungalo Universal Music Distribution, Intense Entertainment is poised to make a huge play in the Hip-Hop market in Austin and the rest of the world as well.
Mark “Boss” Martinez was born and raised in east Austin, where he was introduced into the street life at a young age. At the age of eighteen, Boss established a car club. What started off as a hobby turned into a full-blown business; customizing cars in the Austin area. Anteceding the Creation of Boss Records, several bad situations in His life including a bad auto accident, “Boss” Martinez found himself back on the East side of Austin, rehabilitating from a debilitating Injury. He met His partner Raul “Chino” Gullem who had overcame several setback’s of His own, so the two decided to start an entertainment and recording company to use their talent and experiences as a catalyst to give the youth a chance to take advantage of opportunities they did not have or did not consider when they were younger.
The resulting partnership, and the talent and services that culminated from it, has developed quickly with many shows of various genre’s and artists done across the state of Texas. The song “Anything” has been marketed well in the immediate Austin area, realizing multitudes of local radio spins. Also the Intense Record Label has pioneered a professionally-directed music video, local audiences have responded and the results have been an exploding fan base. Intense Entertainment has also expanded as an entertainment company by offering promotion of local clubs, including clubs on the famed Austin 6th Street. Intense Entertainment is a completely modern music and talent production company with in-house management, promotion services, video directors, photography equipment and personnel, music production equipment and professional operators, graphic design artist and facilities, and audio engineering capabilities.
The distribution agreement which is the focus of this announcement is with one of the most capable music distribution companies in the world. Platinum Bungalo Universal Music distribution is a much sought after arrangement in the music industry. The professionalism of the Executives at Platinum Bungalo, Mr. Aaron Johnson Music Executive and Al Hudson aka ‘Al the Bandit’, World Renown promoter, have joined with the multi-talented label, Intense Entertainment, to further enhance the talents of the group and create a sound and products that will permeate the world’s music audience. But unlike many businesses, Intense Ent only looked forward, never dwelling on the past, and never letting losses overshadow the bigger picture.
In a few years time, Intense Ent has already reached heights not known to many local labels. The success has never been kept within the camp; many other record labels and aspiring artists have gained notoriety through working with Intense Ent. With many shows done across the state of Texas, the song Anything receiving multitudes of local radio spins, professionally-directed music videos, and an exploding fan base, Intense Ent has also expanded as an entertainment company by promoting clubs across Austin, including clubs downtown. It is a self-dependent company with in-house management, promotion, video directors, photography, music production, graphic design, DJing, and audio engineering.

As an entertainment company, Intense Ent is garnering recognition as a company known to organize shows and events well. From benefits, and charity concerts to shows with big headliners, club promotion, and artist management, Boss keeps the promotional wheels turning. Boss networks at every opportunity he can in order to get the company and the music where it needs to be in order to achieve success so it may be able to help the community. In doing such, Intense Ent has acquired a distribution deal through Platinum Records/Bungalo Records/ Universal Music Distribution Group, which has helped the label expand the music through outlets via the internet.
Intense Ent not only focuses their time with its own artists and members. For the past 6 years the label has taken the time to help the students and staff of Ortega Elementary School. They have proudly organized festivals, participated in fund-raisers, and made donations to assist campus. Intense Ent has also received numerous awards from AISD, the City of Austin, and the Texas PTA.
Intense Entertainment is a company that relies on itself to survive and grow. With an innovative singles waiting to be released to the public, along with good promotions, Intense Entertainment is on the verge of breaking the local barrier.
