With a repertoire of great classics and originals Attenni and Lee will bring you in a journey around the world that will entertain your evening with an intimate atmosphere that sometimes will make you wanna get up and dance!

GEUNSU LEE

“Geunsu Lee is a bright new talent on the jazz scene. His playing is reminiscent of classic jazz artists, with tasteful and thoughtful ideas that are combined with an adventurous spirit, breathing new life into everything he plays...keep an ear out for him...” - Bruce Forman

Geunsu Lee is an award winning guitarist, composer, and educator based in Los Angeles, CA. Geunsu has shared the stage with artists like Bob Mintzer, Vince Mendoza, Bill Cunliffe, Joe LaBarbera, and Gary Smulyan.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, his passion for music has taken him all over the world as a student and performer at major venues in Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Seoul and Monterey.

He has been recognized by the DownBeat Student Music Awards, Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, and KT Art Hall Jazz Concours, and Ulsan Jazz Festival.

In addition to his active performances, he has been teaching as a lecturer and private instructor since 2012. He finds great joy in sharing his love of guitar playing and seeks to pass down the discipline and musical knowledge, which he learned from his teachers.

In 2015, Geunsu began his graduate studies in Studio/Jazz Guitar at the USC Thornton School of Music. Here, he studied with Bruce Forman, Frank Potenza, Pat Kelley, Richard Smith, and Adam del Monte. In 2016, Geunsu was selected to perform with the Thornton Jazz Orchestra directed by Bob Mintzer. He was later selected for Vince Mendoza’s combo, which performed as a finalist at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz festival in 2017.

Geunsu received his Master’s degree from USC in 2017, and was given Pi Kappa Lambda honors. He will release his debut album of original compositions in the near future.

SIMONE ATTENNI

“Simone Attenni is an amazing guitar player. I wish I could jam with him sometimes” - Jimi Hendrix

Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Simone Attenni is a versatile guitar player, with vast experience in Rock, Blues, Pop, R&B and Jazz.

Growing up, Simone was very inspired by the music of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Police and Michael Jackson, and when he picked up the guitar, at the age of 13, he didn't put it down until the neighbors called the cops with a noise complaint.

In hopes of finding a venue that could handle all his energy, Simone began touring Italy with several bands, performing originals and covers. During that time, he also began producing and recording as a session guitarist for numerous Italian bands, artists, and for film and TV soundtracks including the movie "Nessuno mi può giudicare” (Eng. “Escort in Love”).

Simone moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue his dream and play with the world's most influent musicians. He first attended Musicians Institute, where he studied with Scott Henderson, Bruce Buckingham, Sid Jacobs, Dan Gilbert, Ken Rosser and Dale Turner, then worked there as a teacher's assistant and collaborated with several bands and artists in LA.

Currently he is getting his Master of Music in Studio/Jazz Guitar at USC Thornton School of Music under the guidance of Richard Smith, Frank Potenza and Pat Kelley. At the same time he is also working as a guitar teacher, ProTools editor and composer.
