After first hearing Interrobang’s set at O’Connell’s a few weeks ago, I couldn’t help but suspect occult affiliations. The quartet sounded like Tortoise loosely covering Jobim tunes for a traveling freak and medicine show somewhere in Eastern Europe. Probably their jam sessions were fueled by cold shots of armadillo blood while chanting incantations from Rasputin’s personal notebook. Possibly they were high-ranking officials in the Golden Dawn. At the very least they worshipped Moloch.

Bio
Interrobang- a printed punctuation mark (?), available only in some typefaces, designed to combine the question mark (?) and the exclamation point (!), indicating a mixture of query and interjection, as after a rhetorical question.
Interrobang is a musical project started in 2010 by music students Mathew Rakers and Ryan Bradley. The musical backgrounds and tastes of the group are diverse and their music attempts to capture this diversity by quickly switching musical style and genres throughout their sets. They have played shows throughout San Diego and are currently in the process of recording an EP to be released in august.
However, they are mostly just in this for the fashion.
