Bio
Although deeply rooted in Jazz and Blues, Intersections is a band whose musical expression transcends styles and labels. A collaboration born from the "intersecting” of their respective musical life-paths, free-spirited artists Giuseppe Cossu (Drums/Percussions) and Drew DeAscentis (Guitar) first release "Impromptu" is a "colossal" work of about 90 minutes’ worth of music, mostly captured live during jam-sessions (originally only guitar and drums to which the bass was added later, along with other sounds). Strictly improvised and un-edited blues and jazz tracks recorded in separate sessions go through a post-production "transformation" through ambiance sounds and philosophic quotes, guiding the listener towards "envisioning" of the message, feeling or experience each track wants to send out (in the true style of 1970's experimental music). Some tracks are very long recordings which are purposely kept integral and un-edited in order to keep it's magical and rigorously spontaneous expression, melodies and rhythms that only happens when you completely "let go" of attachments to this realm and step into "the zone"...
Personnel:
Giuseppe Cossu: Vintage “Ludwig Vistalite” Drums; Sabian “Artisan” Series Cymbals;
