The best kept secret in music

This band has no press

Interstate Pond has just finished recording their self-prduced four song demo. It includes Natural Selection, Old Milk, Somethingelse, and Way Down. We have had airplay on 106.7 The End when we opened for InFest. The airplay included two songs, Way Down and Somethingelse, with about a two hour rotation the weekend before the show where many dedicated fans called and requested our music.

Feeling a bit camera shy

INTERSTATE POND is a powerful hard rock band based in Folsom, Louisiana. These four musicians began playing together as Interstate Pond in October 2002. The band composes their own music and writes their own lyrics, in addition to currently recording and producing their latest cd. Songs from this unreleased album have been playing on 106.7 THE END as the requests to hear their unique sound continue. Most recently, Interstate Pond won an intense Battle of the Bands competition in New Orleans. As the winner of this event, we opened inFEST 2005 at State Palace Theatre for signed bands including Cowboy Mouth, Seether, Prom Kings, and Theory of a Deadman. The fan base of Interstate Pond has rapidly gained momentum and proves to be a faithful following at every venue as the crowd erupts when Interstate Pond takes the stage! The bass guitarist, Justin Barfield, has been performing since his early teens. He has played with Sundown, Absolute, and Longplay. Justin's bass style has been compared to that of a lead guitarist on bass. He has the unique ability to generate audience enthusiasm and excitement as his personality and character is seen throughout his performance. Twentythree year old George Butler began playing seriously about seven years ago. He has played with Absolute and Lot 45. George's showmanship is only excelled by his raw talent and musical mastery. He is the creative force behind the melodic arrangements and intricate riffs. As a young teenager, Mark Pecoraro, performed in blues bands and slowly developed his own unique sound. He has been influenced from the sounds of southern rock bands to the sounds of the Seattle grunge bands. As a lead vocalist his range is second to none. His voice compliments the originality of Interstate Pond's unique style. Mark's musical background and experiences have generated an endless supply of lyrical compositions. He has played with Turning Blue, Absolute and Lot 45. Erik Golson has been playing drums for ten years. His driving beats and complex rolls are the backbone to Interstate Pond's music. Erik has played in numerous bands such as Spoonfed, Innervoice, Bimora, and Lee Harvey Griswald.
