Bio
in the A.M. was a finalist in the ECMA 2008 Soundwaves Competition. Although the band did not take home the top prize, the boys have began the necessary planning to embark on a musical journey that will see them make appearances on radio and television across Canada. They also plan to record and tour throughout their home province of New Brunswick and abroad.
The band consists of Corey Reid (Lead vocals, Guitar), Levi Ellingwood (Lead Guitar), Adam Washburn (Bass, vocals) and Peter Ellefsen (Drums, vocals). Washburn is the newest member to the group, taking over the bands bass line after their original bassist moved out west with family.
Reid, who draws influences from John Mayer, Incubus and Sublime, has led the band in crafting a sound uncharacteristic for their age group and local music scene. He has a voice that can not be restricted by conventional genres. Over the course of one performance, his voice will melt, break and get your heart pumping as if it had never been before.
Lead guitarist, Levi Ellingwood, adds his skillful guitar playing to the group by route of ultra-tasty solos. Like Corey, Levi is ahead of his time when in relation to his musicianship. Peter rounds out the group with his solid drum playing. He also produces and engineers the band’s pre-studio material.
