A group of 5 guys with influences of all kinds of metal and music in general coming together to make music that appeals to the heaviest of metal fans to your everyday rocker.

Biography

In early 2008, two musicians set out to create a band based on their love of music. In the later part of the year, after jamming with other talented guys, they finally came across three others that shared the same drive AND vision. They formed what would be "In The Beginning"!

*Mike Harkins ~ Guitar: He was born in Waco, Texas and has been playing since the age of 15. His influences include Ace Frehley, James Hetfield, Zakk Wylde, & "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

*Shawn McMullens ~ Bass: He was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He then moved to Waco, Texas. He began playing at the age of 16. His influences include Metallica, Pantera, Blues, Reggae, Techno, and industrial music.

*Doug Thompson ~ Drums: He was born in Bakersfield, California. He then moved to Ore City, Texas and then to Waco, Texas. He began playing at the age of 14. His influences include Mudvayne, Black Sabbath, Tool and Slipknot.

*Brandon West ~ Vocals: He was born in Gatesville, Texas. He then moved to Waco, Texas. He began singing at the age of 7 or 8. His influences include Country, R&B, and newer Metal singers.

*Daniel Lightfoot ~ Guitar: He was born in Tyler, Texas. He then moved to Waco, Texas. He began playing at the age of 15. His influences include Ted Nugent, Stevie Ray Vaughn, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, Classis Rock, Blues, & Country.

In The Beginning appeals to your true Rock-N-Roll fans to your seasoned Metal lovers. They are great supporters of the Texas Local Music scene.
