Bio

In The Dark started off with a string of luck in 2005. Formed by Walt Berger and Wayne Feranti in 2005, their first show was performing on the same bill as Vince Welnick. After a series of festivals, the band started to gig locally in Connecticut in the fall of 2005.
The spring of 2006 had the band performing at festivals in upstate New York put on by The Groovelink, and many other music festivals throughout the northeast. In 2006 the band performed on the same bill as Max Creek, Donna Jean and the Zen Tricksters, Mookie Siegel, Depth and Quartet. The band continued to build up momentum but band members left and Walt Berger continued to tour solo or with special guests at festivals throughout the Northeast. In the spring of 2007 In The Dark was back with new members, once again performing at festivals and bars throughout the Northeast. Things really came together in the fall of 2007 when Mike Machie (drums) and Alex Wu (bass) joined the band a unique blend of hard rock drums with jam band guitar and bass, they performed a 3+ hour show after Max Creek @ Sterling Stage Amp igniting the crowd til 4am!.

2008 found the band at an all time high, opening for The Word (Robert Randolph, John Medeski and members of the North Miss Allstars) and a newly reunited Blind Melon @ The Webster Theatre in Hartford on the mainstage. Also they performed at festivals in prime slots playing before Max Creek, Freakbass, Jackie Greene, Melvin Seals and JGB, Moonalice, Juggling Suns and many other well known touring acts.
