You could discover behind my flattering words on the band 's debut song “Running” that leaked and made me interview the band (read the article here), an anticipation regarding the release if their debut. Well, one year later I am holding in my hand the very first ITM release and my feelings of joy are intense.
The band that features one of my all-time favorite vocalists, Corey Brown , known from his appearance in the always amazing band s Psyco Drama, Magnitude 9, Section XVI, Balance Of Power, Metro Society and others as well released a debut that contains modern and well-structured songs that draw the listener's attention. US Prog Groove Metal is so alive and kickin', especially when it's performed by so experienced and talented musicians.
Corey's voice is in really good shape. His expression is still passionate, while its melodic lines are once again so wonderful. His passionate and powerful performance is so intense on the songs “For The Last Time”, “Out Of My Head”, “Bury Me”, Running”, “Never Let Go” compositions that I really cannot stop listening to!
In The Machine is a band I am proud of. Their very first album delivers the music that I am fond of. Dark, passionate, full of diverse emotions. To be honest, this is art. And the artists involved in this project know how to create and even wake the listener's soul.
Corey and the rest of the gang have finally returned to the scene. And this is a great headline for all the fans of the genre. You can purchase their debut and realise by yourself that qualitative music will never disappear as long as band like ITM are contributing such albums!

To capture uncharted, pure emotion and force in a single shot, get In The Machine. A Colorado Springs based powerhouse, In The Machine takes progressive-power rock to a new sharp-riffed yet harmonic level.
In The Machine can’t actually be categorized, as their sound breaks too many barriers and stretches limits developed by any one genre. Blending hints of vocal and melodic construction reminiscent of Dream Theater or Queensryche with mechanical, hard-pounding rhythm that rivals Sevendust or Mudvayne, the band has created a peerless concoction of empathetic ferocity that rocks the inside out.
In The Machine is vocalist Corey Brown, drummer/vocalist Doug Brown, guitarist/vocalist Jsin Elliot, bassist Ian Ringler and guitarist Matt Mengel.
The Zodiac hosted ITM on Saturday night (July 30) as the band performed songs from their debut self-titled release.

While many fans were there to see ITM, there were also those who had never heard of the band. That changed the second they started playing. Nods of approval and looks of “Who are they?” rippled through the crowd as In The Machine impressed with meticulous, razor-sharp sound.
They performed the single “Forgive,” an addictive trade-off between ringing arpeggio melody and a relentless cadence. The lyrics are complex and the chorus echoes in the head for days.
When ITM played the song “All the Lies,” their true harmonic chops were displayed. Corey and Doug Brown both have incredible ranges that fuse together, generating magic only family can create. The harmony between the Browns’ captures the emotion resonating with-In The Machine.
While the emotion is evident in the music, accelerated riffs and a stout backbeat are also a staple in the ITM sound. The politically charged “UnAmericant” sent a shockwave of energy through the crowd, and the new single “Drag me Down” ignited a pit.
The members of In The Machine have many years of experience behind them that manipulate and harness the perplexed sound they produce. Each member also utilizes the best equipment available, which provides a big-show experience and sound – even at smaller venues. The rhythm section alone consists of a 13-plus-piece drum kit and a 12-string bass.

In The Machine is vocalist Corey Brown, drummer/vocalist Doug Brown, guitarist Jsin Elliott, and 12 string bassist Ian Ringler.
Formed in the Fall of 2009, the members of In The Machine collaborated to put their many years of experience between them together to harness the perplexed layers of sound that they create. While the emotion is evident in the music, accelerated riffs and a powerful backbeat are also staples of the ITM sound.
In The Machine is a powerhouse collection of dynamic, multi-talents. The result is the creation of a complete package with their own groove and their own flavor. With vocal harmonies reminiscent of Alice in Chains, and hard-pounding rhythm that rivals Sevendust or Mudvayne, the band has created a unique sound all their own. Get past trying to put it in a box and get taken to a whole new place.
The dynamics also transition into In The Machine's live show where every performance is packed with delivering the energy, emotion, and dedication in the music to the audience. The band has shared the stage with national acts SICK PUPPIES, Hed Pe, and Janus to name a few as well as earned the support of Jagermeister Music.
The band is currently planning a spring/summer tour to support their debut self-titled album which is distributed by Century Media (CM Distro), and has already begun work on their sophomore release. The band qucikly gained a large following in the mid-western region that continues to expand throughout the US and into international areas such as Europe, Japan, and Australia.
How does the band describe its sound? “Like a living, breathing machine. Music that breathes on its own from the emotion, energy, and life put into it. We're going for lasting music...not to fulfill, but to feel. “
