Today when many artists are going solo and bands aren’t popping up as often as they used to, a group of musicians have struck a chord on a unique sound that’s guaranteed to appeal to a variety of musical tastes.
In the Pink, a six-member group that formed in 2008 started as a weekly jam session. After leaving different bands the members still had the urge to perform live. Each week the group would cover up to 4 hours with jams they created live each week. Popularity grew and the rest is history.
So what’s unique about In the Pink? During performances the group enlists the audience to suggest song topics. No matter what is yelled out, be it sex, money or politics, emcee and vocalist,Lance Lane, runs with a topic and literally starts creating a song on the spot with the help of fellow band members.
