Michael Peterson
www.MichaelPetersonMusic.com
Michael Peterson catapulted into the
national spotlight in 1997 on the success of
the hit single, "Drink, Swear, Steal & Lie"
and his follow up release, "From Here To
Eternity," which became his first #1 hit as an
artist and second as a writer. (The first
being the CCM #1 "Taking Your Love For
Granted" by Imperials.) The self-titled debut
disc was certified gold and he was
recognized as country music's top selling
new male artist of 1997 and 1998.Peterson
was named Top New Artist of 1997 by both
Billboard and Radio & Records and honored
as Country Weekly's Male Newcomer and
Gavin's Artist to Watch in 1998. An artist
that has been gone too long, Peterson is
gracefully taking country music back one
song at a time.

Julie Forester
Born in Houston, Texas, Julie boasts proudly as an eighth generation Texan!! Her journey as an artist and writer began singing in church choirs and friend’s weddings; leading to performances at London’s West End, concert halls all over New York, Holland, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and now as a local Nashvillian in Tennessee. “Julie’s music defies genre…this is a girl who won’t even be returning my calls in a year’s time…she is that good”-Bart Herbison (NSAI Executive Director). In addition to touring with In The Round and on The Road, Julie will also be touring nationally with Women On fire this spring.

Vickie Raye
Singer/Songwriter Vickie Raye, was born Puerto Rico where she was adopted at birth. Now, in her 30's and after nearly 4 years of traveling back and forth, Raye is a permanent fixture in Music City. Raye writes edgy, honest songs from her heart that cross genre. “Vickie Raye has an ability to paint an amazing picture… she is one of the best up & coming writers in town”-- Bart Herbison, NSAI Executive director—
“So who is Vickie Raye? I’m a 34 year old straight shooter and some days I feel 50. I am proud of my stretch marks and battle scars, they make me who I am. I am a bit rebellious and passionate about almost everything. I love music, because there were times it was all I had!”--Vickie Raye—

Billy Ryan
After hearing Billy Ryan sing one time, you'll not be surprised to know that this 21 year old from Boaz Alabama, was born into a musical family and simply has music in his blood. As a teenager he would perform anywhere, at anytime for anyone who would listen. If he couldn't get somebody to take him to a gig, Billy would walk for miles, carrying his guitar down the country roads of Alabama to play. Billy made the move to Nashville where he has been "paying his dues" as an artist and a songwriter. It looks as though those dues are paying off. Billy, signed to Smoking Grapes Music Publishing, secured a cut on Daryl Worley’s upcoming album and recently recorded under the direction of power-house record producer, Mark Bright/RCA to record an EP project. "I am genuinely blessed and I thank God everyday for all the good people he has put in my life", says Billy.

Mark Stephen Jones
With cuts by Toby Keith, Jake Owen & Hank Williams Jr., Mark Stephen Jones has been dubbed ‘The Carolina Poet’. Growing up in the Low Country of South Carolina, gave Jones a wealth of real-life material from which to pull his words. “His no holds barred approach to every song that bleeds from an old guitar and a smoky voice finds it’s way into your very soul and it changes you. He tells the truth, not just the pretty parts but all of it. We need more like him.”--Travis Meadows-- Jones resides in Nashville, TN with his faithful companion, a beautiful brown-haired Newfoundland named Conway. “This guy is so good it’s kinda like cheating.” --Chuck Cannon—

Bio

In The Round, On The Road(TM) is a grassroots songwriter tour, started by Vickie Raye & Julie Forester and endorsed by the NAshville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and utilizes the Regional,
Local, and International chapters to pool some of the best talent in the songwriting community. After a few shows, Forester & Raye enlisted the help of friend and former Kenny Rodgers road manager Garth Shaw.
Thanks to his help and experience the tour will be hitting the road spring 2009.
Being in the hand of NSAI also gives In The Round On The Road an excellent opportunity to provide an educational component which makes this tour something special. Writers are available to discuss the many aspects of the Nashville songwriting community, their careers, and so much more. Q & A’s, songwriting evaluations, and traditional workshop/ seminars for more in-depth instruction are also available.
Are you a local songwriting star? In The Round, On The Road hosts a contest with each tour leg to local songwriters. The winner receives and opportunity to open In The Round On The Road tour at designated shows in their area, as well as some additional prizes from our sponsors.
