The best kept secret in music

Press

"listen.com"

"Artsy folk with acoustic guitar, scary violin, and pristine vocals that cut through the melodies like a cold January wind. This evocative, personal music by Emaline is unafraid to demand a bit from the listener."
- Mike McGuirk

"Neuen Welt Ingolstadt Germany"

"A surprising, unusual evening with marvelous music.

The Australian easily filled the area of the Neuen Welt with her voice, inspired with musical versatility, charming stage presence, playing jazz and salsa, flamenco and rock, folk and world music, seductively and with honesty."

- Walter Haber

Bio

Is it possible to capture a season in a song?

To conjure images, memories and weather patterns with piano keys, the female voice and haunting strings that leave you aching and strangely comforted at the same time?

Coming this cold season:

"in the winter dark"

A series of very special winter concerts featuring Australian singer/songwriter Emaline Delapaix and Quebec City pianist/singer/songwriter KPhanie with special guest musicians on strings and harp.

The Singer Songwriters:

emaline delapaix
........is an Australian performing songwriter who has a tremendous amount of experience in the music industry including seven self funded tours with over 500 shows in Australia, Europe and North America over the past six years.

Her music is a unique blend of passionate and humourous folk/jazz with influences from gypsy, roots, latin, rock and cabaret with a big love of orchestral arrangements, interesting time changes and clever lyrics.

KPhanie
....... is a self taught pianist who sings in English and French bringing raw emotion, humour and a vibrant stage personality to all of her shows.

She has spent the last two summers touring as part of Emaline Delapaix & The Delistocracy across Canada as well as solo performances in Quebec and has recently moved to Vancouver where she will be based from August 2007.
