Into the Spin

In December 2008 platinum-selling drummer, clinician, and Modern Drummer writer, Jeremy Hummel set out form a new band devoted entirely to an audience's enjoyment of rock-solid classic dance music rooted in the soul and funk music of the 60's and 70's. Hummel then recruited accomplished bassist Andy Seal and a search for the region's best musicians began and resulted in the addition of seasoned guitarist Mark Burke and vocalist (formerly of Picture Perfect) Lucy Sassi. Eventually the band's line-up was complemented and completed by the amazing talents of keyboardist Kevin Haile, Brian Leslie on trumpet, saxophonist Doug Riley, and Brett Rynhart on trombone. Incidentally, all four are also successful music teachers.
