INUS *ASO REGGAE BAND
Inus* Aso's music is based on Universal Love of Jamaican Reggae music.. It incorporates the harmonies of gospel chant and Nayabinghi, (Jamaican Folkloric drumming and chant), as well as RnB and soul.
These combinations are the key to a dynamic style and original sound.
Buntin Neil and Inus*Aso Reggae Band have been a pillar of the Montreal reggae scene since the 80's. Buntin, who was born and raised in Blue Mountain, Jamaica, has been influenced, ever since his youth, by the great Jamaican reggae singers from the 60's until now. His deep roots and love for music, have shaped and formed an exceptional musician. Music represents the breath that keeps him alive.
Inus*Aso signifies the sense of what we have inside. The song's lyrics are positive and life affirming, about self-realization, the love power of the creator and peace for humanity.
When you talk about reggae music in Montreal, Inus*Aso is the driving force behind it. Before Inus*Aso, Buntin founded the first Ska band in Montreal- Top Ranking. Over its five years, Top Ranking wailed its music through Universities, clubs and concert halls.
Buntin Neil, lead vocalist and founder of Inus*Aso Reggae Band, has also collaborated, as bassman, vocalist, percussionist and instrumentalist with local and international artist such as,
• Joe Higgs (played bass with. He was a mentor and coach to Bob Marley. Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer)
• Alpha Blondi (performed on stage with)
• Jean Leloup (collaborated in studio)
• Kali and Dub (played bass)
• Dubmatique (featured on album Raga dub)
• Lucky Dube (shared the stage)
• Toots and the Maytals (shared stage with)
Inus*Aso has toured in France, where they performed in the Festival Franco-Quebecois in Le Havre, Normandie, where they performed 7 municipalities in 15 days.
Inus*Aso, for the last 12 years, has performed and represented an outstanding tribute to Bob Marley in various venues and festivals and has been requested numerous times.
Inus*Aso is a delightful and honorable Reggae band that will guarantee a memorable performance.
