Under Invention standards, why build a shack when you can make a building that stands ten thousand feet tall.

Biography

In the midst of the ruble formally known as music, the three boys where born. Appalled at the sights and sounds around them, they vowed to make something new, something that would shake the very foundations of the imagination. And now, held under those same vows, they’re doing it! And they do so unapologetically.

Under Invention standards, why build a shack when you can make a building that stands ten thousand feet tall.

As is usually the case, Kellen Garnaas, Dustin Mahler, and Kevin Forney came out of the ashes of separate bands. Each boy quickly discovered that they had tapped into something incredibly powerful. Having been an official band for not even a full year, Invention is just getting started. They have been reaching for every opportunity to branch out to new fans, taking their tremendously energetic live show all over Northwestern America. Every live performance yielded new recruits for the Invention Army! Soon they will have enough troops to storm the Planet!

There is no place they will ever stop. Period.

Lyrics

Asia

Written By: Invention

Telescoping the right one?Hearing you say?Try lighting gasoline and…?See how it reacts in truth

Incapable of seeing cathode rays with my opticals?I’m writing you a ‘thank you’ letter
All in time

Join me for a short space ride
You’re noose is out back
If we hurt them they’ll only?Sleep well…

This strangeness brings me back
To set up rules and enforce them

Sit tightly the meeting is coming to have you?The station is leaving the trains for a little while?
Sit tightly the meeting is coming to have you?The station is leaving the train for a meeting without me.

Mechaniques

Written By: Invention

Space caught arms to repel from something
It’s lives that are more meaningful.

Aerodynamics are invisible
But the effect is tremendous.

No longer need identity from something
Acceptably vulnerable of state.

We can believe and be wise upon ourselves that our truth is our viewport
The way that our brains smell it, but together...

Telephoto Love

Written By: Invention

Stop counting sheep and get off your ass
Pretender
I’ve finished speaking to you through and anvil
Too bad, son

Movement isn’t right, leave her heart behind
It’d be a favor
Moment in the sun, back in Satan’s gun

En garde
In the war at least the villain’s cape was marked.

Let’s disassemble distractions
I’ll wait for you ever after…

It is the voice has cursed me and haunts the ethic
You’re smile can slaughter bagpipes, stop.
Set backs ablaze, stop.
Make me believe and disbelieve simultaneously.

Stays encrypted, but, I’m cruising anyhow
Explain to me again the moment that I should have acted upon,
When time kept on…

En garde
A signature of mouth is all I want.
