Invent the Dark

Invent the Dark is a rock-electronic four piece based in the Chicagoland area. The four members with differing musical tastes but a singular musical vision makes for an exciting listening experience. Their live performances have shown audiences that their live dynamics and energy match that of their recordings.

Invent the Dark’s first recorded effort, aptly named Demo, has wowed a diverse mix of fans, musicians and industry insiders. Demo displays the band’s ability to mix rock, pop and electronica into its own brand of modern rock. Their new single, “Follower,” a live instrument remix of the first track off of Demo seems to be a culmination of all the ideas that came across on the EP. Melodic pop sensibilities, rock guitars and acoustic drum break beats exemplify the level of songwriting the band has achieved in the short year and a half they have been together. The craft in which the four pen a song will always be as it is now: experimental, boundless and unparalleled.

Invent the Dark is not simply a band with songs, it is an idea; an idea that a song does not have a limit to its sonic landscape.
