"DC Rock Live"

I got there a little early so I caught some of the soundcheck. Check that, this is the Velvet Lounge, so I got there on time, waited, they let me go up well before the show started allowing me to listen in. The soundcheck was excellent and I love the two distinct guitar styles. They got it together nicely thereafter but they clearly are a little raw at this point. But that is all forgivable as the guitarwork is loud, fast and complementary. It was like Serj Tankian (System of Down) on one side and Vernon Reid on the other. The bass player sings and keeps it deep and steady. The drummer does well with the beats, although some of the breaks sound a bit out of place. They call themselves alternative metal or progressive and if that sounds good to you, then I advise watching this band's progress. They just may get it together and become something special. They are starting on the ground floor and that is where most people do indeed begin. - David Hintz

Bio

In the beginning of 2011, In Your Memory sprung into motion right after a quick name change and a few additions to the roster. After the lineup was complete the band was ready to set the tone locally and begin writing new content.

Unlike a lot of local talent In Your Memory’s members didn’t grow up together which forced four young adults to build chemistry from new experiences instead of reminiscing old memories. We saw this as an opportunity to exploits everyone’s talents and merge bass groves, heavy handed drumming and massive guitars chords giving our sound a dirty rock feel with ambiance delays and screeching solos when need taking hard rock to places you haven’t seen before.

With a bright future ahead of themselves In Your Memory consist of musicianship, work ethic and passion three things we believe are needed to make it anywhere in life. With the desire of exposing our musical talents to the world and taking rock to future heights in an industry in need of generic tones In Your Memory will always manage to impress.
