       Atala Drama Club is a rock band from Los Angeles, CA originally founded in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2011. The band has a wide range of influences in its sound: Black Sabbath, Rush, Killing Joke, Dream Theater, The Cure, David Bowie, Pj Harvey, Tool, Failure, Pavement, Deerhoof and The National are just one of the many names of artists but the list could go on. Having such a repertoire in its creative process allows the band to shift its moods, like a pendulum, but varying in its swing rhythm. At times faster, at times slowing down; loud and quiet; distorted and clean. They rely on combining the opposites, the contrast, as a way to a richer experience than just relying on formulas and genre. Although they can still be easily perceived by any listener as a rock n’ roll band, open-mindedness is key in this picture.

       The band released it's first E.P. in 2013 entitled "The Entheogenic Fit" with six songs and had gone into the studio as a power-trio: Henrique Aoki (guitar), Fabio Guilger (bass), Victor Goes (drums, vocals). When the band left the studio it was a duo - Aoki had left the band to pursue other interests aside from music - and so 2013 also saw the transmutation brought by the entwining of two new elements: Victor Marum, who would now play drums; and Isadora Verissimo that would now share the guitar and vocal roles with Victor Goes. In the Spring of 2014, they went into the studio again to record their debut album with Marcello Pompeu (award-winning musician/producer and brazilian metal legend). Three months before completing three years in the making, the album was released in late February 2017 by Akashic Records.
