Irene Diaz

Born in the heart of Los Angeles, CA, Irene Diaz has emerged as an independent artist in her own rite. A singer/songwriter who plays both guitar and piano, her initial exposure to music came at a young age, at only 15 years old she developed her own writing/playing style that sets her apart now at 25. Her influences come from other singer songwriters such as Billy Holiday, Fiona Apple, and Feist, but cites love as her greatest influence behind her songwriting, with the intention of allowing everyone to relate to that experience and connect with her songs. Over the past two years Irene Diaz has been honing her craft by playing at various music and art venues around the Los Angeles area, including the Echo, Tropico Del Nopal, the USC Book Festival, and was a featured artist on NPR's Alternative Latino Radio. Currently Irene Diaz is working with producer Ikey Owens of Free Moral Agents, on her debut EP set to be released summer 2012.
