Bio
Iron Bells is an original rock band from Louisville, KY. The project started as a platform for singer/songwriter Demi Demaree (VilleBillies) to craft solo material that had been in the making for years. One of these songs, Bed of Thorns, was featured in a locally produced independent film Nothing in the Flowers and Demi was asked to perform at the movies premiere. He enlisted long time collaborators and band mates, Tim Bernauer and Ron Ping on drums and bass respectively along with Malcolm McLaughlin on lead guitar and back-up vocals to accompany him in the performance. From this collaboration, Iron Bells was born.
While the bulk of Iron Bells early material consisted of the songs originally written by Demi as a solo endeavor it soon became evident that the rest of the band had plenty to contribute and the project evolved into a full group effort. The band will soon be releasing their highly anticipated debut album Black Gold via Island Earth Music.
