Bio

What do you get when you combine musicians that collectively between them have two Grammy nominations, a song on a NASCAR DVD, a world of tour experience with bands like Metallica, Audioslave, Nickelback, Filter, Our Lady Peace, as well as sold out crowds in the 100,000's worldwide? You get ISAAC JAMES!

ISAAC JAMES has attracted industry attention worldwide, recorded their EP titled “TOO MUCH HORSEPOWER” with major label producer/engineer, Scott Spelbring (Cinder Road, SR-71, Charm City Devils, and The Speaks). The EP is being pushed to radio by Randy Sadd (The Black Crows, Josh Joplin Group, Shawn Mullins, Tag Team) of Protocol Entertainment. TOO MUCH HORSEPOWER is currently available on ITunes, Amazon.com, CD Baby and is in several Best Buy stores nationwide. ISAAC JAMES members include: Chris “Blackie” Starks/vocals (formerly of Karma and Field of Grey), Gil Cole/lead guitarist, Joel Ekman/drums (formerly of Grammy nominated Stone Sour), and John Lillard/bassist.

ISAAC JAMES will bring RAW ROCK ENERGY to the stage reminiscent of the rock greats that we all grew up on.

“HEY” is spinning in regular rotation on several FM, satellite, and internet stations around the world, and is also
#1 on the 2009 TM Century National Rock Sampler.

Tommy Barnes - program director for WFXN/The Fox Ashland OH: "This is about a CD I just recieved and a group of guys that will flat out ROCK your world. I don't buy a lot of music since I am around it at the radio station daily. The music has to grab my attention and basically ROCK my world. What these guys have done in a short amount of time ...will blow you away. ROCK that has the sound of today, but the respect and energy of yesterday. Chris "Blackie" Starks is the lead singer and was in area bands like Karma and Fields of Grey. Gil Cole rips the lead guitar to another level and John Lillard has a Bass that is off the charts. Add to it 2 time Grammy Nominee and drummer Joel Ekman, these guys are destined to have a great band. The raw power or ROCK N ROLL lives on with Isaac James."
