Lyrics

Prisoner

Written By: Isabeau Miller

I've made this drive a million times in my mind.
Lights flickering- everything that counts is inside.
But I'm sitting still, in reverse, on the brake.
Won't open doors I should close for your sake.

These four walls,
we built them...
But we build them up.
We're locked in,
and it's holding us hostage.
I don't want to be a prisoner
in my own home.
Prisoner- baby let me go.

Each empty room, me and you
tells it all.
Scars of our rise, flying high as we fall.
And I'm next to you, but I'm alone in this place;
Anchored to lies I call "truth" to your face.

These four walls,
we built them...
But we build them up.
We're locked in,
and it's holding us hostage.
I don't want to be a prisoner
in my own home.
Prisoner- baby let me go.

Could've been a dream come true
of me and you,
but you know me, you see it coming.
Waking up, you're next to me
and I can't breathe, no I can't breathe.

These four walls,
we built them...
But we build them up.
We're locked in,
and it's holding us hostage.
I don't want to be a prisoner
in my own home.
Prisoner- baby let me go.

I've made this drive a million times in my mind.
